Two packaging samples sit on your desk: a lightweight bag and a printed paper box. Both look suitable, but which makes sense for your sanitary pads? Start by separating three jobs: wrapping individual pads, holding the retail pack, and protecting orders during transport.
PE bags are a useful starting point for cost comparisons. They are lightweight and offer moisture resistance, although performance depends on film thickness, sealing, and construction. They provide little rigid protection. Ask for quotes at the same pack size and order quantity, rather than assuming the cheapest film produces the cheapest finished pack.
Laminated films can combine printing, strength, and barrier functions. However, mixed-material structures can complicate recycling. Ask what each layer does and whether a simpler structure can meet the same requirements. “Laminated” does not always mean mixed materials; some laminates use predominantly one polymer.
Paperboard cartons give sanitary pads a defined shelf shape and room for product information. They may add material, assembly costs, and shipping volume, and should not automatically replace the protective inner wrap. Coatings and windows also affect how the finished carton can be recycled.

Biodegradable materials need closer questioning. Under what conditions do they break down, and is the finished packaging certified for that route? Industrial compostability does not mean home compostability or breakdown in the sea. Check whether local facilities actually accept the packaging before choosing an environmental claim.
For outer packaging, corrugated shipping cartons provide stacking support, but their grade and strength must suit the journey. Display boxes help retailers present stock, though an open display tray may still need a protective shipping carton. PE outer bags can bundle packs with little added weight, but cannot provide the same crush protection.
Match the choice to the destination: humid storage calls for moisture checks, online orders need handling protection, and retail shelves need clear presentation. Compare material cost, packing labor, freight space, and disposal options together.
When discussing sanitary pads with tiico paper, share your market, budget, and delivery conditions. Thoughtful packaging should help your team manage costs and give the person opening it a reassuring, practical experience.
